Pros: The material of the handle is actually pretty comfortable even though it takes some time to get used to the finger cut outs. It takes a little bit for me to get used to the design of a lockback design, but it definitely feels very secure. The blade also came very sharp and has held an edge well so far. Cons: I have a few issues with the design of his knife. The first problem is that the blade is very difficult to open. It does have ambidextrous thumb stubs but these do little to give you leverage when attempting to open the blade. I have had to basically pinch the blade and pull it out then using the studs to finish the motion. This can all be done with one hand but I expect to be able to open a knife with one motion utilizing the design. This difficulty has caused my thumbs to hurt due to the pressure needed. I did try adjusting the tightness of the blade and lock which did help a little bit but by the point I noticed a satisfying difference the blade felt very loose and unsafe so I tightened everything back up. Of course in this area everyone is going to be different, that is just the way it impacts my hands. I am not a huge fan of combo blades but I know that some people are so that is a decision for the individual person. The last thing I want to point out is that I have learned I really dislike a lockback design as it forces me to use both hands to close the knife. General Thoughts: I picked up this knife for about $7 on Black Friday and for that price it was a descent buy but I do not think I would have liked it at full price. I know I mentioned several problems and did not have a ton of positive things to say but this is not the worst knife I have ever seen, its just pretty much what I expect at this price point. I have typically been very satisfied with the quality of products from StatGear, this is just step down in my opinion. I do also want to include that I think I have found a happy middle ground as far as the blade tension goes, I was able to get it loose enough after a couple weeks of testing so that I can open the blade easier without it being to loose when extended.
